My work

As a writer I write picture books, middle grade novels, and personal essays. My journey into writing children's literature all started when I wanted to develop a language learning program for my kids so that they could learn Korean in a play-based way. I've recorded parts of that story through my personal blog. You can also read more about my experiences raising my third generation Korean children on the Korientation blog. I'm also a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

I have also blogged for the German Way Expat Blog since 2009 where I mostly write about expat parenting and sociopolitical issues. A number of these blog posts are included in the expat guidebook I edited on expat life.

As I work on my fiction, I also embrace the opportunity to write articles for online and traditional media based on my expertise and experiences. Please contact me

As an editor I've published an award-winning book on international fundraising, Across Frontiers: New International Perspectives in Educational Fundraising published by CASE in 2010.

Most recently, I've edited and co-authored Germany for Beginners: The German Way Expat Guide, based on the German Way Expat Blog published by Humboldt Press in 2016.

I continue to be open to editing projects on topics that I am passionate about. Please contact me
